Tablet II, Ca. 13 x 23 x 3 cm, Silicon, laboratory diamond (0.55kt) (sold)
These are two small wall pieces made from leftover high-purity silicon straight from a chip factory — the exact material used for computer chips. They’re probably some of the very first fine-art sculptures ever made with this kind of industrial silicon.
The surface looks like frozen, wild crystal growth — messy and organic, but at the same time strangely ordered, as if an algorithm went rogue and just kept growing. It has this silver, metallic shimmer that catches the light and quietly reflects you back, while staying completely mysterious and hard to read.
Right in the upper center of each one sits a tiny lab-grown diamond (0.54 carat in Tablet I, 0.55 in Tablet II) — like a silent camera eye that watches and records everything.
