        Die Arbeit Mapped basiert auf entfremdetem kartografischem Material, das Jonas Wyssen algorithmisch dekonstruiert und rekonstruiert. Anstelle klassischer Pixel bilden farbkodierte Emojis die Grundlage des Bildes. Das Ergebnis ist eine abstrakte Datenlandschaft, in der Emotionen digitalisiert und kartiert werden. Was auf den ersten Blick wie eine gestörte Landkarte wirkt, enthüllt bei näherer Betrachtung eine poetische Verschmelzung von realer Topografie und digitaler Gefühlswelt.
        Jonas Wyssen reflektiert mit dieser Arbeit den Dialog zwischen Natur, Technologie und digitalen Kulturen. Indem er geografische Strukturen mit emotionalen Symbolen überlagert, macht er sichtbar, wie sehr unsere Wahrnehmung von Raum und Umwelt heute durch Algorithmen und digitale Codes geprägt ist. Die Arbeit wird zu einer zeitgenössischen Kartografie, die nicht nur Orte, sondern auch innere Zustände und kollektive Emotionen verortet.

        The work Mapped is based on alienated cartographic material that Jonas Wyssen has algorithmically deconstructed and reconstructed. Instead of classic pixels, color-coded emojis form the foundation of the image. The result is an abstract data landscape in which emotions are digitized and mapped. What at first glance appears to be a disturbed map reveals, upon closer inspection, a poetic fusion of real topography and digital emotional worlds.
        With this work Jonas Wyssen reflects on the dialogue between nature, technology and digital cultures. By overlaying geographical structures with emotional symbols, he makes visible how deeply our perception of space and environment is shaped today by algorithms and digital codes. The work becomes a contemporary cartography that locates not only places, but also inner states and collective emotions.
