I am a hybrid artist — where code hits matter, there the virtual meets the physical.
After the idea, my process begins digitally — through photography, custom-built algorithms, AI and software — and unfolds into fine art prints and physical installations. Flow, transformation, and motion are deeply woven into the visual language of my practice. I am drawn to processes that shift, evolve, and dissolve — allowing the works to carry a sense of becoming rather than being fixed.

2023—2025
Situated between digital art and sculpture, Jonas Wyssen’s project explores new ways of representing the world around us. By using one of the key tools of the 21st century — the smartphone — Wyssen offers the audience an interactive experience centered around the marble of Saillon, a material deeply rooted in the local region. Dematerializing stone, digitizing nature — here, art and craftsmanship merge with pixels and new technologies.

/singularity
2023/2025
In a black hole, the singularity is the point where the laws of physics are turned upside down. In the realm of artificial intelligence, the singularity marks the moment when machine intelligence surpasses that of humans. Here, the viewer finds themselves reflected in a void—suspended, as if turned on their head.

2024
Here, digital memories merge with technological transformation. Fleeting moments become timeless reflections. These images dance between the virtual and the real, the transient and the eternal. Mémoires Virtuelles are based on digital photographs, altered through an algorithmic process of forgetting and dreaming. Through the foliage, we glimpse the surface of the lake—clouds and shoreline mirrored within.

/stardust
2023
These stones, found in the Valais region (Allalin Gabbro, Adular, Aragonite), are set into a hemisphere covered with synthetic velour. The abbreviated titles, MRS, TTN (originally Mars, Titan) alludes to a fictional connection between the materials and outer space exploration.
A QR code on the work gives access to a visualization (NFT) where a photograph of the stone dissolves into stardust.
The piece weaves together cosmic origins, interstellar fiction, and the material presence of the here and now.
MRS IV, II, & TTN I
Commissioned by: Fonds cantonal d’art contemporain
Exhibited at: Walliser Kantonsmuseum – Die weiten Welten / The Vast Worlds
